The Dallas Mavericks look to clinch a berth in the NBA Finals with a game 4 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight, as the 2nd seeded Minnesota Timberwolves look to become the first team in NBA history to come back from a 3-0 deficit. Here is what to look out for tonight.

What to look out for:

The Duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving has been sensational in this series vs 2nd seed in the west in the Minnesota Timberwolves. So much that in Game 3 they made NBA history by being the first starting backcourt to score 30 points in the same game Three times in a post season in the last 50 years, incredible stuff to say the least and they aren’t done. With game 4 on the horizon the Timberwolves have just had no answer for Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, who seemingly just took over the fourth quarter in game 3 even after an incredible third quarter by the Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves, which showcased the best play of the post season with an Anthony Edwards dunk on Daniel Gafford that seemingly took the air out of the American Airlines Center. Minnesota in each of the three games has had ample opportunities to close out the show but have been bested by the superstar tandem in late stages of games. In the fourth quarter alone, Minnesota has been outscored by Dallas 85-64 while shooting 42.4% from the field. Since Scoring 44 points in game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinals vs Denver, Anthony Edwards has struggled to say the least. In his last six playoff games Edwards is shooting 36.3% from the field while shooting 25.8% from three and averaging a pedestrian 21.2 PPG. Karl-Anthony Towns has been even worse this series while being outplayed by 6th man of year Naz Reid. Towns has been virtually unplayable down the stretch of games, as his shooting woes continue in this series; 30% from the field, 22.2% from three, while averaging 15 PPG. If Minnesota is going to have a shot to extend this series and take it back to Minnesota Both Edwards and Towns will have to play up to their all-star capabilities.
