It’s the showcase of the immortals! The best weekend of the year! This should be one of the best WrestleMania’s ever, but we say that every year! Let’s get into the predictions!
Night 1- Rey Mysterio/ Andrade vs dirty Dom/ Escobar: Mysterio and Andrade win. This feud has been going on way too long. It’s Andrade first match back with the WWE no way he loses here. Bianca, Jade and Naomi vs damage control, BJN wins. The same logic can be applied to this match as the first one, no way Jade loses in her first match.
Tag Team Ladder match: The Awesome Truth wins the Raw Tag Team titles New Catch Republic win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. I think the WWE is using this match to split up the titles and while there can be a conversation about whether that’s a good idea, it’s probably going to happen. R- truth has been awesome this year and deserves a title. The SmackDown side could go different ways, but I think new catch Republic needs the titles to justify their new team. Brother vs brother match Jimmy wins. Jimmy isn’t on Jeys level and I think they want this feud to continue, so if Jey was to just win that would be it. I think you can bring in someone like tanga who has been rumored to sign with WWE, to cost Jey the match. The bloodline will need new blood after mania.
WWE Intercontinental match: Sami Zayn wins. It’s time for Gunther to drop the title and move into the big title picture, Sami Zayn is the right man to take this title. Chad Gable could get involved.
Women’s World Championship Match: Rhea Ripley retains. Rhea is still the future of the WWE Women Division, and I believe she keeps this title. Becky doesn’t really need to win the title. This is true since the future of the Judgement Day seems to be in limbo. One staple should be Rhea and her title.
The bloodline vs Cody Rhodes and Seth frigging Rollins: The Bloodline wins. The rock is going to pin Cody Rhodes in the center of the ring to wrap up night 1. It makes too much sense based on what’s happening lately. The bloodline rules match also makes night 2 very interesting. As it sets up the rock vs Cody later at summer slam or next year’s mania.
Night 2- The pride vs the final testament The Pride. This feud is also not doing it for me, I’m sure the match will be great, but I’m just not invested in this. The pride probably has the higher upside post-mania so I think they will win.
LA Knight vs AJ: LA Knight wins. In the battle of the two letter first names knight emerges victorious, I have really enjoyed the build up to this match. I think the WWE still has big plans for LA, it starts here by beating a certified future hall of famer.
The United States championship match: Randy Orton wins. I could Definitely see the WWE keeping the title on Paul because ko and rko fall out hard during this match and that’s the program coming out the other side. I still think Randy deserves a moment, his return from injury was overshadowed by CM Punk’s return and The Rock’s return. Give him this moment.
WWE Women’s Championship match: Bayley wins. Bayley has been an unsung hero of WWE for several years now, she was a key piece of getting through the pandemic, but she never really got her flowers. This will be her flowers, a title win at the show of shows. I also think Bayley will go back to her face entrance with the Bayley buddies.
World Heavyweight Championship match: Drew McIntyre wins. It’s going to be drew, he has been on fire since the rumble. He has probably done the best character work of any wrestler over that time. Seth Rollins won’t be 100 percent coming into this match, his wanting to be involved in everything else will cost him his title. Now the aftermath I think is where things get interesting, CM Punk is a commentator for this match and that is no accident. Punk will attack drew after the match, leading to Damien Priest coming out to cash in his briefcase. When he opens the case, there is no contract inside the case, it’s been stolen. Finn Balor comes out with his old case and has the contract back, instant feud and the breakup of the judgement day. Its time! The winner of priest/ Balor gets a title shot against Drew at backlash. Even though I think they need to do a better job with these cases in the future, the last five have been fumbled.
Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match: Cody Rhodes wins. Prepare yourself this is about to be the most overbooked match in the history of the WWE, but it kind of has to be. The argument can be made this could be one of the most important matches in the history of the company, maybe that’s just me being caught up in the moment. It’s under bloodline rules based on the results from night one. I fully expect the shenanigans button to be working overtime. Cody’s avengers as I’ve called them will be here to overcome the odds, every single person that has been screwed over by Roman Reigns and The Bloodline will be here to get their revenge. Ko, Sami, Jey Uso, John Cena, Seth, the list goes on and on. I expect to hear the glass shatter and Stone Cold Steve Austin takes out the final boss. All of this chaos will lead to a battered tribal chief in the ring, Rhodes will hit Reigns with three Cross Rhodes and 1…2…3!
The reign of Roman Reigns comes to an end!
Those are my predictions, let me know what you think! And enjoy the show! Onpoint out!
