Winners

Arizona Cardinals:

Arizona was able to draft who some believe to be the best offensive player in Marvin Harrison Jr. at 4^th overall. Then they were able to draft five players on day two. Max Melton, Trey Benson, and Elijah Jones will pay dividends for the future of this franchise.

Chicago Bears:

Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze will be franchise cornerstones for a very long time in the Windy City, two slam dunks that made the Chicago faithful very happy. They also drafted a very athletic and versatile offensive lineman in Kiran Amegadjie out of Yale. A three-year starter, Amegadjie should provide outstanding depth at guard or tackle. They also were able to draft Edge Austin Booker out of Kansas, he provides the depth needed at edge on that defense.

Philadelphia Eagles:

The Eagles were able to draft two of the best corners in this draft in Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. Then they were able to get the highly athletic Edge in Jalyx Hunt out of Houston Christian, who is a bit of a mystery with the competition he’s played but showed up very well at MichClemson, both play the right way and can make an impact for them in the future. Drafting Johnny Wilson out of Florida State will be interesting. Wilson reminds me of Darren Waller and can transition very well to the tight end position.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

I love the Steelers first four picks. Troy Fautanu and Zach Frazier will be key contributors at some point on that offensive line, Roman Wilson fills a need they have at wide receiver left by Diontae Johnson, and getting Payton Wilson in the third round out of NC State is a such a value pick in my opinion. Wilson will be a day 1 starter at inside Linebacker next to Patrick Queen.

Losers

Atlanta Falcons:

Drafting Michael Penix Jr. was just head scratching, especially after signing Kirk Cousins in the off season to $100 million. Michael Penix Jr., who is an incredible player, is best suited to play right now considering his age (23), instead he will be holding a clipboard for the next couple of seasons behind Kirk Cousins. Atlanta could’ve drafted Dallas Turner out of Alabama or Byron Murphy out of Texas, both will be studs at this level.

Carolina Panthers:

Carolina didn’t draft a single offensive lineman in this draft for Bryce Young. That in itself, makes them losers in my book. They could’ve drafted Jackon Powers-Johnson out of Oregon and Zach Frazier out of West Virginia Instead of Xavier Leggette and Jonathan Brooks. Both would’ve made immediate impacts next season on that line instead they reached for needs that were lower on the totem pole in my opinion.

Tennessee Titans:

I get Tennessee needed a left tackle I just think they reached for J.C. Latham when they could’ve drafted a premier Wide Receiver in Rome Odunze or a premier Tight End in Brock Bowers to bolster that offense. They also could’ve traded down and received any extra picks; I wonder how those conversations went in the war room. I like T’Vondre Sweat in the 2^nd round he is a space eater and a massive human being in the middle of that defensive line.

Cincinnati Bengals:

Amarius Mims may end up being a great left tackle someday but for what was left on the board, I think the Bengals could’ve drafted a pro ready tackle in Washington’s Troy Fautanu instead of a project in Mims. Brian Thomas was also left on the board. Thomas would’ve been an excellent compliment to Ja’Marr Chase in this Bengals offense who seems to have some issues with their other wide receivers in the room. I do believe Jermaine Burton will be a nice addition at wide receiver to that offense, that was a nice value pick in the third round for the Bengals.

6^th round: Defensive Tackle, Mekhi Wingo (LSU), Pick 189, Detroit Lions

7^th round: Wide Receiver, Devaughn Vele (Utah), Pick 235, Denver Broncos
